Rare and authentic antique 1880's Royal Hawaiian Coat of Arms dinner service plate from the Iolani Palace in Honolulu. Made by Pillivuyt Porcelain Ware of Paris.
Pillivuyt provided the official state service ware for the Palace and it's watermark stamp can be seen on bottom when held to the light (pics). Bottom also features small incised artist's mark (pic).
Plate measures approx 9.5 inches at widest point. Beautiful ocean blue glaze with scalloped edges and gold trim. Gold remains 99% intact.
Aside from one small chip to foot ring (pics), there are no other structural chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. Very light signs of handling with faint scratches to Coat of Arms, a few pinhole-sized chips to blue glaze and one small rough spot from glaze skip on bottom (pic) and top edge dimple from production process (pic).
